Metropolitan Opera

I started working part time for the Metropolitan Opera chorus in 1999, and after five years as an extra chorister I was hired in 2004 as a full time member. Members of the main chorus are required to learn an average of 23 different operas per season and perform up to seven operas a week.

The solos which I have performed at the Met range from the customs officer in La Bohème, a villager in Pagliacci, a wise man in Turandot, to a servant in La Traviata. I am featured in some of the HD broadcasts including Carmen (the opening scene), a Cenobitic monk in Thaïs, and as a fisherman (at the end) of Peter Grimes.
